Cleeve Cricket Club officially opened their new three bay net facility, non-turf pitch and electronic scoreboard. Somerset and England Lion, Steve Kirby cut the ribbon before bowling at some lucky junior players.
Also in attendance were Somerset Cricket Board Development Manager, Andy Fairbairn and Cleeve CC Chairman, Allan Burn.
Cleeve Cricket Club received £46,674 of National Lottery funding from the Inspired Facilities fund to install a brand new three-lane practice net facility.
Waste disposal company Biffa funded the new non-turf pitch and the club saved funds themselves in order to purchase the electronic scoreboard.
The club runs three senior and five junior teams with a first XI who play in the Bristol & District league first division.
