St Helens Soroptimist Club along with 250 generous ladies turned out to support a Macmillan Biggest Coffee morning event, held at Knowsley Hall, courtesy of the Earl and Countess of Derby.
The event, which celebrated 25 years of the cancer charity, raised over £3,000. More than 50 members from other Soroptimist clubs in the south Lancashire region also attended to raise the profile of their work.
Bernadette Platt, this year’s leader, commented: ‘We are very proud to be involved with this event as it’s a wonderful opportunity for us to raise valuable funds. Thank you to all who came along to make it a special day.’
