The hills were alive with the sound of golf as 124 players took part in the St. John’s Hospice Charity Golf Day at Windermere Golf Club raising over £12,500.

It was a golf day like no other as the players were treated to ice cream, massages, afternoon tea, fairway renditions from Maria Von Trapp and family courtesy of After Dark Entertainment and the chance to Beat the Pro with Holly Calvert from Lancaster Golf Club.

The golf was followed by a meal at the golf club with a raffle and auction. Event organiser, Jill Santamera from St. Johns’ Hospice, said: ‘We wanted to create some unique golfing memories and hopefully we have succeeded. ’
