A school will be able to buy new equipment thanks to more than 130 people who attended the annual Barton Ball at the Barton Grange Hotel.
The event, attended by staff, parents and local residents, is organised by the Parent Teacher Association of St Lawrence CE Primary School and is the main fundraising event of the year. The money raised at this year’s event, £3,754, is the highest yet, and will help the school with their outdoor curriculum programme, funding workstations, pond dipping equipment, a store and outdoor clothing for pupils.
Julie Goodwin, headteacher at the school, said: ‘It was a fantastic evening; we always have a great time. It was lovely to invite back old friends and see some new attendees. Special thanks to the PTFA and its chair, Liz Hamilton, who organised it.’ w
