Drawing inspiration from the theme of ‘Forgotten Cornwall’, the festival inspires guests to discover some of the county’s wonderfully rich heritage, whilst taking pit-stops to indulge in a selection of luxury evening entertainment.

To launch the four day festivities, Champagne Thiénot was on hand to set the luxury tone - welcoming guests on the first evening with a sparkling drinks reception held at the Hotel Tresanton. Renowned hotelier Olga Polizzi assumed the role of host, ensuring guests felt at home in her lovingly restored venue where they were able to take in some of the stunning coastal views, whilst Nick Wolridge from official sponsor Champagne Thiénot was on hand to ensure the sparkle kept flowing throughout the evening. Guests spent the evening catching up with old friends and mingling with new ones, sharing their classic car anecdotes and memories, whilst the appearance of David Richards CBE (former Chairman of the luxury car brand Aston Martin) added a touch of true motoring history to the celebrations.

The four-day festival will continue until the 9th, culminating with the cars being polished up ready for show at the St Mawes Concours d’Elegance. Bonhams will be on hand to select this year’s ‘Best Car in Show’ with the winners receiving a magnum of Thiénot as their prize. Finally guests will attend a Gala Evening, taking place at St Mawes Castle and featuring a dress code entitled ‘a touch of royalty’, this finale event will no doubt ensure the festival ended on a luxurious note.
