Red House Farm, Dunham Massey
Getting active in the great outdoors has never been so much fun. We’re not saying the kids can go wild in the countryside but here at Red House Farm there’s everything from the Maize Maze, to train rides, inflatable slides and of course all the attractions of the farmyard. The grown-ups get to enjoy a well-earned rest in the cafe and can bring a taste of the countryside back home from the lovely farm shop.
Hawkstone Park Follies, Shropshire
The Follies is an historic woodland fantasy with cliffs, crags, caves, deep woods and a series of extraordinary monuments built over 200 years ago. This magical landscape was lovingly restored and reopened in 1993 and has since welcomed adventurous spirits from far and wide to explore its dramatic terrain and breathtaking views.
Here are just some of the events that will be happening there over the holidays.
Until September 2nd - Summer Treasure Hunt, August 10th and 11th Myth and Magic weekend
August 24th-26th Robin Hood returns to Hawkstone.
Holidays are when we spend quality time with those we love and we don’t have to jet off to faraway shores to have fun. In fact if holidaying at home is good enough for HRH The Queen who spends summer at Balmoral every year, then it’s good enough for us!
Oh yes! indulge days of traditional treats with the family down at Southport Pleasureland.
