The multi BBC Folk Award-winning musician will be performing at the Stroud Subscription Rooms on Saturday 26 September at 8.00pm

Steve Knightley has been described as one of the world’s finest acoustic multi-instrumentalists. Currently touring his ‘Grow Your Own Gig’ project, he is bringing his often rurally inspired music to the furthest reaches of the British countryside, facilitating shows in village halls, community centres and small venues. He is now returning to the Subscription Rooms in Stroud due to popular demand.

The show in Stroud will be one of Steve’s first large solo shows after this admirable project’s close, and will have its tone set by the Stroud Folk Festival taking place the previous weekend. By then the folky vibes will most certainly be in the Gloucestershire air so don’t let them pass you by.

Known for his solo output as much as his duo, Show Of Hands with Phil Beer (Albion Band), Steve has captivated audiences for decades with his songwriting, musical story-telling and the use of a multitude of string instruments - encompassing fictitious and factual tales from generations both contemporary and long past.

Tickets are £18 in advance and £21 on the door. For tickets please contact the Stroud Tourist Information Centre on 01453 760900 or you can buy them online from www.subscriptionrooms.org.uk
