A black tie ball was held at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel, Manchester, in aid of Sale disability charity, Stockdales. The Autumn Ball, hosted by BBC Radio Manchester’s Becky Want and attended by 150 guests, raised £12,000 through a raffle and auction. Guests enjoyed a welcome drink followed by three course meal and entertainment.

Natalie James, Stockdales fundraising manager, said: ‘The occasion was a roaring success which raised an amazing £12,000. This would not have been possible without the kindness of our guests and sponsors and we really appreciate their support.

‘Each year we have to raise £250,000 to help us with our work supporting people with disabilities and this is our main fundraising event. It helps us to raise a significant proportion of the funds we need.’
