Stonyhurst College held its first ball to raise funds specifically for bursaries.
The event was held at Stanley House Hotel and Spa in the Ribble Valley and raised £51,000 through raffles and auctions, with prizes donated by parents, local businesses and Stonyhurst alumni.
‘Every single penny raised will go towards the Bursary Fund, which widens access to a Stonyhurst education,’ said Rachel Hindle, director of development. ‘The support we received was fantastic.
The event also helped to raise the profile of bursaries at Stonyhurst and the importance of on-going fundraising.’
