Over £3,000 was raised and the event is set to become an annual fixture in the Stonyhurst calendar.

More than 100 parents and friends of Stonyhurst College and Stonyhurst St Mary’s Hall attended a clay pigeon shoot at the Huntroyde Estate to raise funds for the school’s shooting facilities and equipment.

Yvonne Herrick, Director of Development at Stonyhurst said: ‘The day was a huge success and everyone who attended helped to make it a fun and memorable day, with a bit of healthy competition among the more experienced shooters. ‘Over £3,000 was raised and the event is set to become an annual fixture in the Stonyhurst calendar.’

Winners on the day were Team Meanley who won best team, Aaron Cullen won best expert and Laura Hutchings won best novice.
