The popular Style in the City fashion show at the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, raised a fanastic sum of money for Project 150, a campaign launched by Barry and Chris Thompson. Barry, the outgoing president of the Insurance Institute of Manchester, set up the campaign in a bid to raise £150,000 for the new Young Oncology Unit at The Christie Hospital, Manchester.
The fashion show, now in its fourth season, was a sell-out with over 400 guests and VIPs, including ex-Manchester City player Dennis Tueart. Everyone enjoyed an American-style afternoon tea and an auction which helped to raise an amazing £217,839 for Project 150.
