Solicitors and barristers are being invited to put forward their entries to this year's Yorkshire Legal Awards
The awards, organised by Barker Brooks Communications, will once again be presented at New Dock Hall in Leeds on 22 October, where the county's leading solicitors and barristers will gather to celebrate the legal sector's achievements.
The awards will be judged by a prestigious group of lawyers and academics from Yorkshire. Marilyn Stowe (Stowe Family Law) will chair the judging panel. She will be joined by Judge Geoffrey Kamil; Peter Wright (President of the Yorkshire Union of Law Societies); David Wright (winner of the Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year Award 2014); Jill Dickinson (Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University) and Jasmine Cawkwell (Chair of the Leeds Junior Lawyer Division). The future Presidents of the Leeds and Sheffield Law Societies (names to be confirmed) will also be on the panel.
Jeremy Shulman and Peter McCormick OBE will once again select a winner for the Presidents' Award for 2015.
Categories of awards cover everyone from the biggest corporate firms to trainee solicitors. The event itself is a glamourous black tie affair, and always sells out – so early booking is recommended.
Yorkshire Life Magazine is proud to be the media partner for this event.
