The Bulls Head, Mobberley

It is always a delight to discover a little gem and Mobberley's now famous, award winning Bull's Head is one of Cheshire's finest examples of the perfect village pub. Since its superb restoration over nine years ago, the Bull's Head has become renowned for its tasty home cooked food and its seven local micro-brewery cask ales all brewed here in Cheshire.

On the menu the 'traditional pub sharing plate' or their amazing 'Seafood Trawler Board' are great to share with friends and main courses such as the Roast Sirloin of 28-day aged beef on Sundays or indeed the legendary Steak and Mobberley Wobbly Ale Pie with fresh chips and 'not so mushy' peas are great dishes to enjoy after a good pub walk (maps available at the bar). The Bulls Head has all year round appeal with log fires in the winter and a lovely garden in the summer.

The pub welcomes pet dogs in to its whisky snug where over 100 different whiskies adorn the shelves of the bar. There is dog beer and biscuits with water in abundance for four legged friends.

The Cholmondeley Arms, Malpas

The Cholmondeley Arms was originally a schoolhouse, founded in 1862 - in late 2011 its loving restoration created the wonderful place you have today. It has a little for everyone. 366 different gins adorn the back bar, one for every day of the year! There are gin tastings on Saturday afternoons for groups from 2-20 and in early July there is a Gin and music Festival. You can even hire the team and the gin bar to 'pop up' at a function you might be planning or indeed hold your wedding in the grounds and let your guests enjoy a little gin bar of their own!

The 'Chum' has built its reputation around its home-cooked food featuring local game in season, Rose County beef and lamb, local venison and other produce sourced from the surrounding area, the seasonally changing menu offers something for everyone.

Walkers too can enjoy a stroll around Cholmondeley Castle or other local walks nearby. Drivers can join the Cholmondeley Arms Car Club for Vintage, Classic and 'cherished' cars. Pet dogs are made very welcome with the 'Chum' continually recognised by the national press as a top place to take your dog!

The Church Inn, Mobberley

The Church Inn is a very stylish grade 2 listed award winning 18th Century inn. The pub has a cosy bar (where pet dogs can enjoy a rest by the fire) with intimate dining rooms and a real boot room for a muddy boot pint of ale after a great pub walk around Mobberley (maps for the walk are in the pub).

There is a sunny garden to the rear with wonderful views across farmer's fields! There is also a pretty terrace facing the 12th Century St. Wilfrid's Church and old village stocks. The Church Inn was chosen as Cheshire Life Magazines Dining Pub of the Year for 2017/18 and has represented Cheshire at Tom Kerridge's Pub in the Park for the last two years.

The menu reflects what's in season, so changes regularly. There is a light lunch menu in addition to the main menu ensuring all requirements are catered for. There are four local ales on tap with craft stouts and lagers. Wine is celebrated with an interesting list of over eighty wines and sociable wine tastings can be booked in the private dining room hosted by the owner Tim. This pretty pub is the perfect place for small weddings and private dining in the beautiful rooms on the first floor.

Fusing traditional gaúcho-style cooking with rodizio dining, Picanha by Fazenda offers guests a selection of up to twelve grilled meats of the finest quality.

The Roebuck Inn, Mobberley

The Roebuck Inn is Mobberley's oldest inn and re-opened in 2016 following major restoration works. The inn offers a relaxed rustic bar-come-bistro where one can sit and simply share a bottle of wine while tucking in to a bowl of olives or enjoy bistro favourites such as Entrecote Steak, Café de Paris Butter and Frites or fresh homemade stonebaked pizza. There are plenty of dishes to share such as classic Fritto Misto to a mixture of 'small plates' including Tempura Cauliflower with peanut sauce or Chicken, Spring Onion and Carrot Spring Roll.

This is a classic old inn with a European twist and the six boutique bedrooms reflect this. Chosen as Alistair Sawday's 'Favourite Newcomer' for 2018 and by the Sunday Times as one of their 'Top 100 Places to Stay in the UK' The Roebuck has received much deserved recognition.

The Award winning Three Greyhounds Inn was originally an old farm. Dating back some 300 years, the pub has been recently refurbished wonderfully, to reflect its old farming heritage. It champions the great food produced in rural Cheshire and beyond. One can enjoy such favourites as 'Cheshire ale battered haddock and chips' all delivered fresh each day or their homemade, handcrafted, Chicken, Ham and Leek Pie or maybe simply sharing their famous 'Pub Plate' after a walk around nearby Shakerley Mere.
