The streets of Knutsford were packed with spectators as the 150th Knutsford ‘Royal’ May day got underway on Saturday 3 May.
Over 650 children and 200 adults, not to mention assorted livestock, paraded the streets of the town in the biggest May Day celebration to date.
Beginning in Marshall’s Yard, the procession - led by the Marshall, Town Crier and Jack in the Green - wound through Knutsford to the Heath, where this year’s May Queen, Jasmine Dines, was crowned in a ceremony first started in 1864.
