Local business people to enjoy an opportunity to get together to discuss and debate the issues of the day

Guests gathered at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Oldham for the Oldham Assembly, a black tie evening now in its 177th year.

It was originally formed in 1840, as an assembly of local business people to enjoy an opportunity to get together to discuss and debate the issues of the day over a formal dinner and entertainment – a successful theme still continued in today.

Attendees at the prestigious bi-annual event enjoyed a president’s champagne reception upon arrival, followed by a five-course dinner prepared by The White Hart of Lydgate. Entertainment included live band Vibetown and a DJ.
