The seventh annual Star Ball was held at the Hilton Hotel, Liverpool One, in support of Radio City’s Cash for Kids and the D. M. Thomas Foundation for young people.

The glamorous black tie event was hosted by Radio City DJ, Peter Price, and guests were welcomed with a champagne reception and canapés, followed by a four course dinner. Entertainment from swing singer Alan Cross and The Temptations, filled the dance floor with a party set of Motown classics. Celebrity guests supporting the ball, which raised over £40,000 for the charities, included boxing brothers Paul and Callum Smith, Emmerdale actress Gillian Kearney and Eastenders actress Cheryl Fergison.

Hilton Liverpool general manager, Marcus Magee, said: ‘I am delighted that the Star Ball has raised so much to support disadvantaged children and young people. I would also like to sincerely thank our team at the Hilton, the sponsors, those who have donated and bid for prizes and most of all those who came along to support the event.’
