A charity ball supporting The Alzheimer’s Society was held at Preston Masonic Hall.
It was organised by Andrew Maxfield of Inskip, who’s father James suffered from Alzheimer’s for 12 years. Around £1,600 was raised on the evening, money which has been added to the family’s fundrasing target of £10,000 which is now totalling around £9,000. The main raffle prize, a John Deere Ride-on-Mower, was won by Paul Tattersall of Leyland when his number was drawn out by Miss England 2016, Elizabeth Grant.
Andrew Maxfield said: ‘As a family we have spent all year raising money and meeting some lovely people along the way. We would like to thank everyone who supported us not only on the night but throughout the year especially the John Deere (UK) and The Alzheimer’s Society.’
