Event raised £15,000 for The Bubble Foundation

A black tie event was held at the MacDonald Portal Hotel, Tarporley, to celebrate a special little girl, Harriett Platt. Two-year-old Harriett received two lifesaving bone marrow transplants from The Bubble Foundation and became the world’s first child to receive a second transplant for severe liver GVHD.

The event was attended by 205 people, including Harriett and parents, Helen Mylott and Chris Platt, and Dr Mary Slatter from The Bubble Foundation who cared for Harriett. Guests enjoyed a three course dinner, entertainment by Decades Disco and a fireworks display from Nightworx Pyrotechnics. A live auction and raffle raised £15,000 for The Bubble Foundation.

Organiser and family friend, Claudia Dickens, said: ‘Harriett is adorable, she never stops smiling, even all the way through her treatment and being so poorly. I wanted to give something back to the charity that helped to save her life.’
