A celebration of the men and women working in the region’s schools was held at St George’s Church in Chorley. The Education Sunday Service took as its theme the transforming power of the Christian Gospel and of Christian education. The event , aimed at professionals and volunteers, highlighted the commitment and hard work of school governors.
The service was attended by representatives of all the local authorities that work with the Diocesan Board of Education, as well as representatives from parishes across the region.
Various schools from around the region attended and took part in the service.
