The event is being organised by leading Gloucestershire natural health and wellbeing pioneers, the Nutrition Centre, as part of their 40th anniversary celebrations, who will be giving all the proceeds from the evening to local charities IT Schools Africa and Bees Abroad.

In his talk, Dale will share cutting edge wisdom of from his new book The Medicinal Chef: Eat Your Way to Better Health and he’ll give a demonstration of food that is healthy and easy to prepare.

Dale’s in-depth knowledge of nutrition and prescriptive ‘medicinal cookery’ give him a unique aptitude for tailoring menus to meet individuals’ specific health needs. His new book, beautifully illustrated with pictures, offers recipes and nutritional advice for helping with a range of conditions - covering joints, bones, respiratory, immune and metabolic systems; mental and nervous systems; heart, circulation and digestive systems; reproductive and urinary systems; and even a recipe that helps cure hangovers.

He also has some helpful recipes to help boost skin health and alleviate challenging skin ailments.

Having struggled with poor skin as a young man himself, Dale can empathise with thousands of teenagers and adults around the UK who suff¬er with conditions such as acne and psoriasis. He will explain how what you eat aff¬ects your skin and offer tasty and healthy solutions to improve its condition, leaving you glowing with radiance.

Dale Pinnock explains his approach to cooking for health and wellbeing:

“I look at the science behind what foods can be useful during specific physiological events and what dietary changes we can make to alleviate health challenges, and then combine this with my culinary skills to create something practical that people can use in their daily lives – still enjoying their food and knowing that it’s helping their health at the same time. It’s about offering people simple tools for better heath, with a full belly and a smile on their faces.”

Helen Galpin, co-founder and director of the Nutrition Centre, which has four health food shops across Gloucestershire and a thriving online store, says, “We are delighted to be bringing Dale Pinnock to Cheltenham for this exciting charity event. Dale shares our firm belief that diet and lifestyle can play a vital role in helping people take responsibility for much of their own healthcare. In this talk at the Isbourne Centre, he will impart some incredibly useful medicinal cooking tips that can help people transform their skin and help them overcome burdensome skin conditions.

“All the proceeds from Dale’s talk event will go towards two fantastic local charities close to our hearts – IT Schools Africa which is helping transform IT education in Africa, and Bees Abroad, which supports beekeeping projects and promotes sustainable beekeeping practices in developing countries.”
