Enjoy an out of this world experience at the Museum of the Moon without leaving Gloucestershire
As part of the city-wide season of stellar events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landings, the internationally acclaimed Museum of the Moon is coming to Gloucester. The stunning replica of the moon will take up residence in the Nave of Gloucester Cathedral from October 16 to November 4.
UK artist Luke Jerram's 3D floating artwork Museum of the Moon is a fusion of lunar imagery, moonlight and surround composition created by composer Dan Jones.
This monumental seven-metre sculpture, created using high-definition NASA imagery of the moon's surface, has toured the world stunning audiences with its astonishing scale detail - and its not to be missed by Gloucestershire residents.
There's also still time to see The Moon Exhibition. Hosted at The Museum of Gloucester, the exhibition features all things moon and space-related, from a replica spacesuit to lunar command modules and samples of real moon rock. The exhibition runs up until September 21.
Entry to Museum of the Moon is by donation.
