The Northern Guild of Toastmasters held their Christmas lunch at Statham Lodge Country House Hotel, Lymm. Over 30 toastmasters and 150 guests gathered for a reception before enjoying a lunch which was followed by a talk from two key speakers, Eric Jones, the ex-chief superintendant of Greater Manchester Police, and Chris Kehoe, a barrister-at-law and Lancashire CPS. Entertainment consisted of a comedian, vocalist and a brass band.

Peter Aust, executive chairman of the northern guild of toastmasters said: ‘The luncheon was a great success with a record turnout with great food and fellowship.’
