Manchester Airport’s Group (MAG) held its annual Medcare Ball in association with Carillion at The Hilton Hotel in Manchester. Hundreds of MAG and Carillion staff attended as well as guests from MAG’s supply chain and Medcare representatives.
The ball was also a celebration of 75 years of Manchester Airport and the theme was a fitting ‘Great Gatsby’ complete with suitably-dressed showgirls who posed for photos.
Guests were treated to an hilarious performance by comedian Sean Collins between courses and BBC broadcaster Kate Silverton hosted the event. A raffle saw one lucky winner take away two business class tickets to New York.
Over £60,000 was raised for Medcare on the night which will go towards continuing expansion works on the medical centre in Uganda, which Manchester Airport is helping to fund in order to save more children’s lives.
