The Pink Link Ladies’ Networking group hosted an event to celebrate International Women’s Day 2016 at Ribby Hall Village, Wrea Green.
The event, held to honour the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, was attended by 100 guests and had the theme of Pledge for Parity. Two guest speakers spoke about their own personal journeys, to inspire the business women. Jen Blackwell was born with Down’s Syndrome and expresses herself through dance, and Holly Moore told the ladies of how she became the very successful founder of Make Events, working with celebrities from around the world.
Coral Horn, managing director of Pink link, said: ‘There is still a long way to go to ensure each individual has a voice. We should champion equality for all.’
