The Preston District Samaritans held their second black tie dinner dance at Preston Masonic Hall. Attended by 90 guests, the evening helped to raise £2,000 for the branch, which provides emotional support for those in distress or with suicidal thoughts.
Sponsored by Direct Poultry Supplies, guests enjoyed a three-course dinner followed by a disco. Rob Falcon was DJ for the evening and also hosted the auction and raffle. Prizes included a tour around the Houses of Parliament.
Margaret Richardson, organiser of the dinner dance, said: ‘A good night was had by all. The money will go towards supporting the Preston branch and we thank all who attended.’
