The Prince’s Trust held their exclusive ‘Audience with Baroness Michelle Mone’ at the Manchester House to discuss helping young people in need.
Everyone sometimes needs a little help, especially the younger generation and this was discussed at the exclusive Prince’s Trust’s ‘An Audience with Baroness Michelle Mone’ returned to the Manchester House restaurant. The afternoon began with a champagne reception, followed by a tasting and paired wine menu; created for the occasion by Head Chef Nat Tofan.
Founder of Ultimo Brands International, the UK’s former leading lingerie brand for two decades, Lady Michelle Mone was this year’s key speaker; both an entrepreneur and an advocate for equality for women in business. Recently voted the UK’s number one female speaker, she is best renowned as one of Britain’s most influential people who set out with a vision to help women feel their best. With this, she built her impressive career, being honoured with a Life Peerage to the House of Lords by the Prime Minister and an OBE from Her Majesty the Queen for her outstanding contributions to business.
The afternoon was hosted by Mike Perls, founder and CEO of communications consultancy MC2, and the focus was on how to support more young people across the North West; with exciting news being shared of the opening of a new Prince’s Trust centre in Manchester next year. The mission of the Prince’s Trust is to help young people who are struggling; with three in four young people helped by the Trust moving into work, training or education.
Guests were addressed by a local Prince’s Trust Young Ambassador, Scott Heffernan, who with the support of the Trust launched his own tattoo business, overcoming setbacks to launch his company after attending the Trust’s Enterprise programme. It was a successful and enjoyable afternoon which left guests feeling inspired to help a generation in need.
