The Rainbow House Masquerade Ball raised over £49,000 for the children’s conductive education charity based in Mawdesley.

Held at The Villa, Wrea Green, 170 guests were greeted by The Glitz and Glamour Showgirls from Blackpool before enjoying a welcome drink and entertainment by Dance with Passion.

After a three course dinner, music from The Jersey Tones filled the dance floor and Alex Hutton of Zanda Magic mystified with magic tricks.

Auction prizes at the event, which was supported by C2V+ and Ward and Burke, included a Preston North End corporate box for ten people and two night stay at Charingworth Manor.

There was also a Diamond Draw, silent auction and raffle. Pauline Clare, chair of the trustees at Rainbow House, said: ‘Our thanks go everyone who has organised, helped and donated prizes and their time to make the evening so successful, but especially to all the guests for helping raise such a fantastic amount.’
