This month, the bird is the word, The Surfin Birds to be precise. At the heart of this psychedelic surf-rock outfit are the Sharod brothers from Weymouth.

Guitarist and singer Paul and drummer Liam, now not only have three EP’s to their name, but have been spreading their wings across Europe. A mini tour of Scandinavia and the underground festival circuit saw them support luminaries such as The Blockheads, Electric Six and The Pretty Things. Their influences range from the US west-coast surf sounds of Dick Dale and the Deltones to British acts including The Tornadoes and The Shadows.
