Warrington’s Royal Bank of Scotland corporate banking team swapped their suits for aprons to raise money for The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace. The ‘Gourmet Evening’ at the Peace Centre saw the RBS team in various roles as either chefs, bar staff and waiters, catering for over 60 diners with a five star menu. Guests enjoyed a champagne reception with entertainment by Courtney Evans and Lucy Farrimond, followed by table magic from the Magicians in Black. Around £5,000 was raised on the night through a raffle and auction.

Wendy Parry, mother of Tim Parry, who died aged 12 in 1993 when an IRA bomb exploded in Warrington, said: ‘RBS have been great supporters of our work. In 2013 the Foundation applied for funding to RBS nationally and we became one of three UK charities to receive a grant. This has enabled the Foundation to further its work with vulnerable young people aged 14 to 19 throughout the north west.’
