The Airport Inn in Wilmslow was the venue for a glitzy evening of entertainment to raise funds for The Wellspring homeless charity.

Organisers Símonè Fletcher and George Moss, from Mobberley, raised £1,055 at the event for the Stockport-based charity which provides services for the homeless and disadvantaged people 365 days a year.

The evening began with a drinks reception followed by a three-course meal. Guests were then treated to a performance from singer Catherine Taylor-Dawson while Gary Skyner, who was the second person in the UK to be born disabled due to the drug Thalidomide, provided the laughter with his comedy set.

The evening was George and Símonè’s first event and they were thrilled that it was such a huge success.
