The Yeovil Show promises to be jam packed this year with hundreds of attractions for all the family

The show will include live baking demonstrations from The Great British Bake Off contestant Val Stones, as well as chef Dean Edwards, a regular presenter on ITV’s Lorraine.

Add to this a Crufts-qualifying dog show, a bangra dance troupe, scurry racing, a Shetland pony Grand National and The Bolddog Lings Motorcycle Team.

“Bringing in two celebrity chefs promises to be a recipe for success this year,” says Event Director Sam Mackenzie-Green.

“Live cookery demos are a brilliant addition to the line-up.

“Val is also planning to show visitors how to bake a train cake, in honour of this year’s show’s title sponsor, South Western Railway.”

There will be hundreds of competitions going on over the show weekend across livestock, homecraft, show jumping and lots of other categories with £20,000 in prize money. There’s still time to enter via yeovilshow.org

There will be around 300 trade stands so visitors to the show can shop ‘til they drop for anything from a conservatory or a set of bi-fold doors from sponsor D Glass or insurance for your car, van or home from Yeovil provider A-Plan Insurance. If you visited the show last year and enjoyed A-Plan’s US cop vehicle, look out for another crazy car on the stand once again for 2018.

Finally, animal lovers are in for a treat at the 2018 Yeovil Show. Last year the event welcomed more than 1,000 livestock and boasted one of the biggest goat shows in the UK with more than 150 entries.
