The Shoreham Summer Food and Drink Festival returns this month from 13-15 June – to help you make the most of it, Alice Cooke has handpicked some highlights
Shoreham Farmers’ Market - 14 June, 9am to 2pm
East Street and St Mary’s Road
With a focus on fresh local food, drink and produce, this award-winning farmers’ market is the largest of its kind in Sussex, with over 70 stalls selling a wide range of local products including meat, fish, chicken, honey, bread, cheese, plants, tomatoes, vegetables, cakes, pies, wine, beer, cider and lots more. Live music will be provided by The Priory St Stardusters, who will play swing jazz from the Thirties and Forties.
Environment Fayre and Adur World Oceans Day - 14 June, 9am to 5pm
Coronation Green, High Street
Adur will be one of the UK leaders in presenting the environmental exhibition at World Oceans Day. Find out what lives in the sea and on the the Sussex coast, with exhibits hosted by local marine experts and enthusiasts. Live lobsters and crabs, a rock pool aquarium, a touch table of strandline exhibits found on the shore and other interactive displays will be on display overlooking the River Adur, by the Adur Ferry bridge.
Turner’s Brewery Mini Beer Festival - 13 and 14 June, 6pm to 11pm
The Beer Festival Marquee, Coronation Green, High Street
A selection of real ales, cider and wine with tasting notes. Live music, hog roast and barbecue – and let’s not forget, an awful lot of beer.
The food and drink festival marquee - 14 June 9am to 5pm and 15 June 10am to 5pm
Coronation Green, High Street
Local and regional producers and suppliers of speciality foods and drinks will be showing off their best fare in both the festival marquee and the stalls on Coronation Green. Live music will be provided by Shenanigan, an Irish folk band, and Rough Chowder Cajun, a zydeco and swamp blues band.
