Bath Cats and Dogs Home is calling on animal lovers across the area to take part in Think Blue Thursday to raise money for its many animals in need.

Think Blue Thursday is a new annual fundraising event for the animal centre, aimed at bringing the community together on one day to raise awareness and funds for the animals. The rescue shelter, one of the largest in the UK, is inviting businesses, schools, shops, students, groups of people and individuals across Bath and the surrounding areas to get involved by doing something with the colour blue on Think Blue Thursday taking place on Thursday 3 May.

Event organiser, Zena Jones, comments: “Think Blue Thursday is to become a regular annual fundraising fixture for Bath Cats and Dogs Home and we are trying to encourage the whole of Bath and the surrounding areas to go blue for the day to show their support for our dogs, cats and small animals. There are lots of exciting things you can do to get involved. Encourage your work colleagues or pupils at school to dress up in blue; decorate your office blue, hold a blue icing only cake sale; dress your shop window in blue; dye your hair blue if you dare! Or why not wear a blue item? These are just some ideas I am hoping animal lovers will want to take up. Get creative! We would love to hear what you’re up to!”
