Founded in 1982 by brothers Alan and David Matkin, Avanti continues to this day to be a family managed business. Avanti stock a large range of diamond engagement rings, wedding rings, eternity rings and dress rings as well as necklaces, earrings, bracelets and bangles. Many of which are designed by Avanti’s in-house designer Ron Fairweather. Several of the pieces of jewellery are available to buy online at www.avantijewellers.co.uk with free UK special delivery and the choice of interest free credit on a selection of products. However if you favour the personal touch you will find experienced members of staff in store to help guide you through your jewellery purchase. From a silver necklace for your bridesmaids , cufflinks for the groom through to the perfect diamond engagement ring and wedding ring. Avanti also stock a selection of Accurist and Rotary watches, pearl jewellery, the gorgeous Fiorelli silver collection and a beautiful selection of locally mined Blue John pieces . Avanti offer an ear piercing service. There is also an Avanti valuation service for Insurance and Probate purposes and a Scrap jewellery service. Avanti covers it all.
If you don’t find your perfect piece of jewellery amongst the vast range Avanti has to offer there is also a full bespoke jewellery service from transforming an existing piece of jewellery and using a customer’s own stones to designing a new bespoke piece. A selection of loose precious gemstones can be ordered to view on approval allowing you to hand-pick your own gemstone.
They offer the top three diamond certificates (GIA, HRD and IGI) on high quality diamonds carefully selected by Avanti at competitive prices. Avanti is also expanding its stock of men’s and women’s pre-owner luxury watches, such as Rolex and Omega. Ask is store if there is particular make and model you have been looking for and we try our upmost to locate one. All watches are refurbished and with a one year guarantee, most have boxes and the original paperwork. Alongside the watches we also stock a wide range of pre-owned silver, gold and stone set jewellery.
With an on-site workshop using highly skilled experienced craftsmen and women, Avanti offer a full jewellery repair service. Avanti has two experienced horologists that offer battery fitting, repairs and servicing on most watch brands. They have a variety of replacement watch straps & bracelets available both in store & to order.
Avanti is currently expanding the business and relocating to a larger premises just yards away in the former Corner House building. It is currently undergoing major restoration and renovation work. Avanti plan to open the new store and workshop towards the end of the year to early 2017 with Sunday opening hours to capture the growing market of Sunday trading in the town.
