The highlight of this year’s White Horse Show will be the last flight of the Avro Vulcan XH588 over anywhere in the South of England. On Sunday August 30, this iconic aircraft will do a flypast over the Showground, before being permanently grounded at the end of 2015. Ed Preece, Chairman of the White Horse Show said: “I’m delighted and honoured that the Vulcan to the Sky Trust had agreed to appear at the Show in this, the last year of the plane flying. Don’t miss it, and don’t forget your camera!” Also on Sunday, Mark Jeffries of the Global Stars Aerobatic Team will thrill the crowd with his stunt flying display.

On Bank Holiday Monday, representing the RAF will be a stunning display by the Falcons Parachute Display Team, trailing smoke under red, white and blue canopies, doing freefall, close display and their signature ‘Stack’.

The Douglas Dakota, part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the work-horse of the RAF in World War 2, will also be performing a fly over during the day.

An event for all the family, the White Horse Show is replete with attractions and ‘have a go’ activities including archery, shooting, food hall, livestock shows, displays of classic cars, plus a free-to-enter Big Top Circus, funfair and much more. Tickets are available at the gate over the two days of the Show, and full details of the Show can be found at: www.whitehorseshow.co.uk
