The annual Totnes and District Show is a really fun experience for all ages and is being held on the very last day of July this year.

It is a varied and action packed day out with both outdoor and undercover activities, so rain or shine come and join in with the celebrations of everything on offer.

A traditional mix of both agriculture, livestock competitions and showmanship, the event also includes quality crafts, lifestyle, food demonstrations and a host of live entertainment, making it a day to remember.

Exciting main ring event – the Scurry Driving Challenge competition – is new to the show this year. Spectators can enjoy the thrill of watching pony and carriage teams of all shapes and sizes brave an obstacle course at a fast and furious pace.

Renowned for the huge variety of equestrian classes, Totnes Show attracts entries for cattle and sheep from across the region.

Vintage vehicles, dog show and falconry are among the host of things to see and do and Totnes Show also boasts a wide range of trade stands.

Don’t miss out on the myriad of action packed parades and displays in the main rings including Pony Club mounted games, parades of hounds and beagles, dog and duck display, and Tug of War. And why not join us for the mayhem of the hugely popular and comical terrier racing – open to all breeds.

Fiercely fought and wonderfully entertaining the all-action lamb shearing competitions attracts a goodly crowd.

Returning for the third year, the popular Sheep Show is Edu-tainment at its best! Meet the stars of the sheep world in a unique and nationally acclaimed static live stage show. Laughing and learning for all the family.

The 2016 Devon Life supported craft marquee will platform selected craft makers and talented artisans from across the South West showcasing craftsmanship excellence and originality.

Catch demonstrations by professional chefs in the highly acclaimed Food Hall – home to food and drink from West Country producers and suppliers.

A superb platform for local music, Totnes Show Music Stage is an eclectic mix of local bands to suit a variety of musical tastes.

“The show really is a full day of superb entertainment for the whole family,” says Show manager Linda Harvey.
