We pick 18 of the best independent traders taking part in a new-style Bath Christmas Market this year

This year Bath Christmas Market is going virtual, showcasing its range of magical producers, artists and makers online, from now until 1 January.

Shoppers will find lots of their favourite produce, including beautifully-crafted homewares, Christmas decorations, personalised gifts, handcrafted jewellery, delicious seasonal food and much more.

We picked 18 of the best traders taking part.

Lick the Spoon is offering handmade chocolates and truffles in plastic-free packaging. You can also purchase seasonal gourmet chutneys and jams using locally forged produce from Go Wild Preserves, or tasty teas from Bath-based The Leafy Tea Company.

Find homemade traditional Christmas puddings from Plum Duff & Stuff, now offering vegan and gluten-free varieties and luxurious flapjacks available in a range of interesting flavours from Flapjackery.

Honey’s sell exceptionally high-quality still and sparkling craft cider made on its farm just two miles from the centre of Bath. Enjoy the taste of Christmas with their mulled cider kits and mini kegs.

The Bath Soft Cheese Company will also feature in the virtual market. It is an organic producer of artisan cheeses made on a farm near Bath using milk from its own cows.

Or for gorgeous gifts and homewares look out for Limelight Bath; hand-poured candles and fine home fragrances come in beautifully wrapped packaging.

Find hand-forged kitchenware and cooking utensils from Forge Kitchenware, and if you’re looking for the perfect gift for a gardener, Garden Treasures offers an inspiring range of rustic garden ornaments and decorations.

Love Unlimited Ceramics will offer a bright, colourful and fun collection of pottery designed and made by Liz Riley at her studio-shop in Clevedon, North Somerset.

Based in Bath, Diana Ingram is an independent designer-maker of luxury, handmade Murano glass, crystal and other gemstone jewellery.

Health and beauty fans can find wonderful natural skincare products made using honey and beeswax from Hive Originals and aromatherapy and organic skincare from Bohobo Aromatherapies. Ubiety offers natural body products and home fragrances for ethical, vegan gifting. The products make the perfect, ethical gift for Christmas, with all profits going to local charity Dorothy House Hospice, to help fund end of life care.

No Christmas shopping is complete without purchasing a few Christmas tree decorations! Do not miss handcrafted glass decorations by Robyn Coetzee – particularly the beautiful winter robins, or gorgeous paper stars (pictured) by Paper Starlights or Bollywood Christmas – a range of Indian inspired decorations designed in Bath.

Around 27 local charities will also have a listing on the Bath Christmas Market website, with a link through to their websites and social channels where donations can be made.
