Years 2 and 3 pupils from Lady Seaward’s Church of England Primary School and Clyst St Mary Primary School joined Nick Baker and Devon’s Crealy’s Animal Team for the grand opening on Friday 28th March 2014 where they had the opportunity to get very close to a menagerie of extraordinary bugs and insects.

Nick, former presenter of BBC’s The Really Wild Show, gave the school children a fascinating display and insight into the intriguing world of bugs, including encounters with giant African land snails, Chilean Rose Tarantulas, Madagascan hissing cockroaches and Jungle Nymph Stick Insects.

Mr Rogers, Year 2 Teacher at Clyst St Mary Primary School said: “The children absolutely loved getting close to the bugs at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park. Nick Baker was brilliant; the children were really excited to hear about the strange and interesting things insects do and to learn more about the important role they play in the natural environment.”

Nick Baker commented: “It was great to be back at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park and see how far it has come. I really enjoyed opening Bugz Unlimited and telling the children stories of my favourite weird creatures.”
