Business women from Yorkshire dominated the UK Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards held at the Queens Hotel, Leeds.
Six Yorkshire businesswomen took home national awards out of the 11 categories. They were Alexa Greaves, AAG Systems, Killamarsh, who won Business Woman of the Year and SME Business of the Year (growth – 10 or more employees); Claire O’Connor, babyballet, Halifax, Retail Business of the Year; Amy Archer, Swift Leisure, Cottingham, Rising Star of the Year; Sam Pearce, The Potting Shed Spa & Eastthorpe Hall, Batley, SME Business of the Year (emerging – less than 10 employees); Claire Turner, TLC Accountants, Wetherby Start-up Business of the Year and Kate Krachai, Quality Context, Sheffield, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Business of the Year.
