Saturday 29th March 10am till 4pm

It’s reached that time of year when we need to look ahead to that most welcome of seasons, spring. To celebrate this we are holding a Vintage and Craft Spring Market. There is currently an amazing buzz around everything vintage and as these lovely reclaimed and refurbished pieces of furniture and home wares fit so well into any modern home, adding a touch of eclectic style, now is the right moment to be looking to buy.

Many a creative soul is transforming wonderful pieces of old musty furniture into a bright and glorious masterpiece, so we look forward to showing you a selection, giving you the chance of owning these newly regenerated lovable items.

On offer will be exciting hand crafted objects such as picture frames, cushions, bunting and wall art - these need only be added to an existing room to give a completely different look. Stallholders will also be showing us painted furniture, vintage garden objects, French linen and even pottery.

Stallholders will be traveling from far and wide to sell you their wares. We’re striving for this to be an old-fashioned styled market, where you can find something you will love - whether it be homemade chili jam, deep filled pies, or delectable cakes... to a beautifully handcrafted piece of jewellery or a magically transformed stool or chair.

Perhaps you’ll even find a last minute Mother’s Day present or make a start on buying your Easter goodies!

Becci Ireland, Former Beauty and Fashion Editor, is organising the market with help from many Rotherfield locals.

Having worked in marketing and advertising, this is a wonderful opportunity for Becci to embark on a slightly different venture, although many of the same skills are needed to organise an event such as this. Styling models for fashion and beauty photo shoots, plus writing editorials for magazines is Becci’s usual workload!

“It is great to be involved in something dealing with such creative people, we hope that this will become a regular event with maybe four markets a year.“ says Becci.

Entry is £1 and this includes a cup of tea or coffee, we will also have gorgeous homemade cakes for sale in our pop-up cafe.

The Market is being held in the historical village of Rotherfield in the much-used Village Hall. The Event will take place on Saturday 29 March and opens to the public at 10am till 4pm. There is plenty of parking at the hall and also in the public car park on The Millennium Green. It’s just £1 to enter with a free tea or coffee too! A lovely way to spend your Saturday morning or afternoon, having a good old mooch to find yourself a little treasure, making your home an even sweeter place to live.
