Over the three days there will be a barbecue, sausage-making and pie-making demonstrations, together with tastings from the farm shop’s most popular suppliers including delicious cheeses, chutneys, jams, wines, beers and much more.

Joining the Walter Smith Farm Shop are quality local suppliers such as international suppliers Tenuta Marmorelle of Puglia, Italy, suppliers to Harrods, who specialise in gluten-free pasta, award-winning olive oil and 15-year-aged balsamic vinegar, along with Punjaban Indian Foods who shun additives in their curry sauces, pickles and rice kits.

During this celebration which coincides with British Pie Week (6th-12th March), Walter Smith will be launching their ‘Wyton Wonder Pie’, created at their Huntingdon shop, which boasts a number of celebrity fans. The Wyton Wonder Pie was awarded Best Hot Pie at the Butchers Q Guild Smithfield Awards 2017 by Food Writer and Critic Tom Parker-Bowles, with Walter Smith also winning ‘Best English Pork Product’. The main ingredients of the Wyton Wonder Pie are chicken, smoked gammon, cheese and parsley sauce.

For children there will be balloons and a Paint-a-Plate competition. The winning entry will be carefully reproduced on two plates – one for the winner and one to be displayed proudly in the farm shop. There will also be a competition to win a gift hamper worth £150.
