Friends, family and ex-classmates gathered at the Fisherman’s Retreat, Ramsbottom, for a ball and Westholme school reunion to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity.

It was organised by Elisabeth Devey after her friend from school, Natalie Wilson, was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour. Described as a really special evening, 120 guests raised £5,000 for the charity through a raffle and auction, which included a signed Manchester United shirt.

Entertainment was provided by operatic singer and school friend, Helen Aimes, duo Brothers of Swing and the band, Black Jacks. Elisabeth said: ‘The ball was something for Natalie to look forward to and enjoy.’
