Social Life photos from the Craft In Motion event at the Macdonald Hotel Spa in Bath

The Balvenie has been holding several Craft In Motion whisky tasting events across the country as part of its Master of Crafts competition, the most recent being at the Macdonald Hotel Spa in Bath. Guests were invited to try a selection of The Balvenie’s whiskeys, as well as meet the team and discuss the craftmenship of whisky making. Dr Andrew Forrester was also on-hand to compare notes and sample the range with the guests.

Some of the whiskeys sampled were: The Balvenie DoubleWood - a 12-year-old single malt with a distinctive character; The Balvenie Caribbean Cask - matured in traditional oak whisky casks for 14 years; The Balvenie Portwood - a single malt that has been decanted into former Port wine casks, giving it a unique flavour; and The Balvenie Single Barrel First Fill - aged in a first fill, ex-bourbon cask for at least 12 years. Guests included Robin Mather from Robin Mather Cycles and staff from Barnie Brown Designs - both companies have been entered in this year’s The Balvenie Masters of Craft Awards.
