A great time was had by those who attended the 3rd Winsford Salt Fair. This year, celebrations on the Sunday also featured the town’s first ever regatta on the picturesque Winsford Flashes and Marina.

The regatta featured a large gathering of water craft, many of which featured in a poppy parade to mark the towns sacrifice during the Great War.

Visitors also enjoyed various other events which included a fashion show, fun fair and an ‘On the Home Front’ ceilidh. Alan Warburton, Town Clerk said: ‘It was a fantastic few days. The regatta really captured the imagination of everyone and we hope it can be the start of an exciting future for Winsford as a boating destination.’
