Supporters of Woodlands Hospice, which provides care for those living with life limiting illnesses in North Liverpool, South Sefton and Kirkby, gathered at the Crowne Plaza, Liverpool, for a glitzy black tie dinner.

A special Strictly style dance competition also took place, where nine couples participated and competed for the glitter ball trophy, judged by both the audience and a panel of dance experts.

The novice dancers, recruited from businesses throughout Liverpool, were paired with competition dancers and given ten weeks to train. It is hoped the event has raised over £20,000 for the hospice.
