Hudd Lit Fest Mini-Fest

The Huddersfield Literature Festival had to cancel the majority of live events due to the Coronavirus outbreak, but some will be replaced by a mini-programme of online author readings, Q&As and creative writing support.

Bettys Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea

Many of you would have planned to take your mother to Bettys for afternoon tea, but social distancing may have put a dampener on those plans this year.

Free meals for local NHS workers in Huddersfield

Award-winning Huddersfield-based Punch Bar and Tapas restaurant is giving away 200 free meals a week to local NHS workers – and their families – for three months.

Uno Cucina, Krafty and Punch – are temporarily shut following government advice so they turned their attention to provinding a weekly changing menu, NHS workers will be able to choose from a range of family dishes.

NHS staff are invited to complete an online registration form to receive a link to make their menu selection, on a first-come, first-served basis.
