‘50 years in fashion’ at Longford Hall
As part of the celebrations of its 50th anniversary, multi award-winning luxury fashion retailer Young Ideas invited fashion historian, author and TV personality, Amber Butchart to give a talk at Longford Hall, by kind courtesy of Brian Ashby and Sandra Holmes.
The glorious weather allowed guests to enjoy a drinks reception in the Hall’s lovely garden and peruse an exhibition of Young Ideas’ and fashion history from the swinging sixties to the present day. They then took their places for Amber Butchart’s ‘50 Years in Fabulous Fashion’ lecture.
In celebration of its anniversary, Young Ideas has been raising funds for Foundation Derbyshire – an independent charity that provides grants to local charities, voluntary and community groups across the county – and on the day added over £2,500 to the total.
Anne Wright, owner of Young Ideas, said: ‘The “50 Years in Fashion” event was fabulous, and we would like to thank our sponsors and everybody for joining us to celebrate our anniversary and raise money for Foundation Derbyshire – a very deserving charity... I feel honoured to have been able to celebrate this milestone anniversary.’
