An exhibition by an award-winning group of wildlife artists, as part of this year's RX Wildlife Festival at The Avocet Gallery, Rye Harbour

The festival takes place every year across Romney Marsh, Dungeness, Rye Harbour and Hastings and includes activities for adults and children, from pond dipping to wildflower walks, bird watching to salt marsh mini-beast spotting and beach art.

The guest artists are all members of the eminent Society of Wildlife Artists and will be showing a stunning range of original work. The artists on show include well-known watercolorist Peter Partington, local artist Robert Greenhalf, American print maker Andrea Rich and Andrew Haslen. Along side these there will be linocuts of birds by Thelma Sykes and John Paige, flowers by Matt Underwood and fish etchings by Folkstone-based David Koster. The show will also be featuring ceramics by Sarah Rickard, botanical paintings by Stephanie Harrison and vintage seabird cushions by Meg Dodson.

The show starts on the 21st May, continues through the RX Wildlife Festival and goes on to the end of June. The Avocet Gallery and Tea Room is open 10.30 to 5pm Wednesday to Sunday (closed Monday and Tuesday) www.avocetgalleryandtea.co.uk
