We have five family tickets to the Game Fair at Hatfield House to give away, worth a total of £280

It’s one of Europe’s premier countryside fairs and it will be on our doorstep when for the first time it takes place in the beautiful and historic grounds of Hatfield House on July 28-30. And you have the chance to go to The Game Fair for free with a family ticket for two adults and three children (aged 8-16, under-8s go free).

Now in its 59th year, the fair offers a fabulous day out celebrating rural England – from food and drink and shopping to big arena displays and field sports. More than 100,000 people attended the event last year, while around 1,000 businesses took part.

Country pursuits include shooting on Europe’s longest clay line, gun dogs, ferreting, horses and hounds, fly fishing and falconry. The Land and Gardens area will have Gamekeeper’s Row, garden specialists and craftspeople keeping traditions alive as well as a huge range of land management equipment including 4x4s, stabling and kennels. Things to do include a purpose-built off-road 4x4 course, helicopter rides, archery and a debate theatre, while there is fabulous food and drink (MasterChef’s Greg Wallace is running the Shot to Pot restaurant) and cooking demonstrations. The main arena has grandstand seating for a packed timetable of exciting shows and demonstrations. Camping and glamping is offered on site too, as well as a quiet, shady dog crèche.

Hatfield has secured the event until 2021, alternating each year between Hatfield and Ragley Hall in Warwickshire.

Tickets (different packages available) can be purchased from thegamefair.org but for your chance to take your family for free with a family ticket worth £56, go to https://archant.wufoo.eu/forms/win-tickets-to-hatfield-game-fair and answer this question: Which of these is not a gundog – English setter, cocker spaniel or border collie? Entry closes on July 1.
