It is the perfection combination – an abundance of ways to take pictures and a county blessed with more great views than you can shake a selfie stick at. And the result is one of the most popular features of our magazine and website – our annual search for Cheshire’s best amateur photographer.

Whether you use your phone, your tablet or even a camera, we want to see your favourite shots of our glorious county. Don’t forget that buildings, animals and people in local settings make interesting subjects too.

Later in the year our panel of judges will select a winner who will win camera equipment from Wilkinsons Cameras, our competition sponsors. Hundreds of pictures were uploaded to our website last year, which all showcased the beauty and variety of the county; from the hills to the coast and from the bustling towns and cities to the unspoiled villages.

Cheshire Life editor Louise Allen-Taylor will lead the panel of judges which will also include picture editor John Cocks and David Parkinson from Wilkinson’s Cameras. So what are you waiting for? Grab your camera and start snapping.
